Let's Talk
For more than four decades, two people have devoted their lives to agriculture. To the land, the soil, and the farmers who depend on both.
This is the story of Mitch and Jody. Why they believe the future of farming begins beneath our feet.
Together they bring more than 40 years of agricultural experience. Two lives converging around one purpose: to serve farmers, to restore the soil, and to help build something better for the next generation.
For more than 40 years, Mitch and Jody have lived their lives in agriculture. They have worked the land, studied it, listened to it, and learned from the farmers who came before them.
They deeply respect the agricultural traditions that have fed the world for generations. Every field is different. Every soil has a story. Every crop has different requirements.
The future of farming begins beneath our feet. Not in the seed, not in the equipment. In the living system that exists below every field.
Soil is not simply something a crop grows in. It is a living foundation. When that foundation is healthy, everything above it is stronger.
When the soil is healthy, something remarkable happens. The biology works. The carbon builds. The roots deepen. The water stays. The crop strengthens.
Agriculture has always evolved. Every generation has learned, adapted, and found better ways to care for the land and feed the world.
Serious Soil is not here to criticize what came before. They are here because they believe agriculture is ready for another meaningful step forward. A more biological approach. A more regenerative approach. A way of working with the living systems already present in the soil.
Mitch and Jody genuinely believe their work exists to serve others. Not to sell. Not to compete. To serve.
Right now, another generation of farmers is being trained. They are learning the traditions, systems, and practices that have shaped agriculture for generations.
They deserve options. A way of farming that respects what came before while opening the door to what comes next. Stronger crops. More resilient farms. Better food. A stronger future.
"Because when we restore what is beneath us, we can change what grows above it."
We want to help farmers bear much more of it.
